Dr. Thomas Parker
Psychologist
Experienced Clinical Psychologist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. Skilled in Group Therapy, Family Therapy, Clinical Supervision, and Forensic services.
In addition to traditional training in clinical psychology Dr. Parker has completed pre and post doctoral internships at the then Garland Memorial Hospital (Psychiatric Services) and the then Richardson Medical Centers (Psychiatric Services in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. After licensure as a psychologist he then completed a two year program in Forensic Psychology at the Wilmington Institute in Dallas under the direction of Robert Gordon, PhD, JD and another two year program in Marriage and Family Therapy (via extension) in Dallas and Austin from the Menninger Clinic.
Prior to his moving to Austin in 1992 Dr. Parker served as Chief Psychologist at the then Richardson Medical Center.
During his tenure in the Austin area Dr. Parker has served 15 years as an Oral Examiner for new Board applicants to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and more recently as a reviewer of complaints in the field of Forensic Psychology for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
